Spirit Dog Ranch is located next to Catalina State Park, allowing for nearly unlimited access to park trails.


We are a low-key facility where the emphasis is on just relaxing and hanging out with your horse and new riding friends.


Spirit Dog Ranch, LLC provides full-care horse boarding. Services provided:

  • Feed hay twice daily
  • Stalls cleaned daily
  • Choice of alfalfa, bermuda, or alfalfa/bermuda combination
  • owner-provided and bagged supplements fed once daily at the evening meal
  • Each horse turned out in private turnouts one hour daily Monday through Thursday
  • Private locking tack compartments for each horse
  • Multiple hitching posts and washracks for boarder convenience
  • Four round pens, large lit arena, and obstacle course
  • Multiple clean restrooms
  • Ramada to relax in before/after riding, with refrigerator for storing refreshments
  • Salt blocks provided for all horses
  • Psyllium provided for all horses in group turnouts.
  • Free horse trailer parking (providing space is available)


Boarding Options Include:

$450 - either 16x25' or 12x24' mare motels with shade and autowaterers

$400 - group turnouts, larger turnouts shared by 2 horses, where the horses are able to move around freely in the larger space. All turnouts also have shelter and autowaterers.


Additional Options:

$ 150 - Owners who wish to have exclusive use of a turnout rather than sharing with another horse.

$ 50 - If you wish for your horse to be turned out on pasture one hour Monday through Thursday instead of dirt. This applies to both mare motel and turnouts.

$ 15 - For horses in mare motels, if you would like SDR to provide and feed Psyllium the first seven days of the month.

$ 20 - If you would like SDR to provide and feed Purina Senior on a daily basis. Price is for one pound fed daily, (2 pounds would be $40, etc.)

$ 80 - Additional feeding of hay at lunch, either bermuda or alfalfa.


Directions: From the intersection of Oracle and Tangerine Roads, go North on Oracle 3 1/4 miles to Wilds Road. Turn right (east) on Wilds for 3/4 mile to Bowman Road. Turn right (south) on Bowman and follow it to the end (approximately one mile), follow sign to Spirit Dog Ranch.
